DTC B1000: Instrument Panel Cluster Internal Failure: Testing

  1. If diagnostic system check has been performed, go to next step. If diagnostic system check has not been performed, perform INSTRUMENT CLUSTER DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM CHECK  under SELF-DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM.
  2. Install scan tool. Turn ignition to run position. Retrieve and DTCs. If DTC C0550 is retrieved as current DTC, go to next step. If DTC C0550 is not retrieved as current DTC, Go to Diagnostic Aids.
  3. Replace the control module. If completed, go to next step.
  4. Using scan tool, clear DTCs. If DTC B1000 resets, replace Instrument Panel Cluster (IPC). See INSTRUMENT PANEL CLUSTER  under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION.
