Removal & Installation (Rear - Camaro & Firebird)

NOTE: Camaro and Firebird vehicles equipped with traction control utilize two rear wheel speed sensors. One mounted at each rear wheel hub. However, Camaro and Firebird vehicles not equipped with traction control utilize only one rear wheel speed sensor, which is mounted in center of rear axle assembly on top of differential case.

Raise and support vehicle. Disconnect wheel speed sensor electrical connector. Clean all contaminants from sensor face and mounting area. Remove appropriate wheel speed sensor mounting bolt, and remove appropriate wheel speed sensor from vehicle. To install, reverse removal procedure. Tighten wheel speed sensor bolt to specification.
