Steering Wheel Controls: Removal

  1. Disable air bag system. See appropriate AIR BAG RESTRAINT SYSTEMS article. Remove driver's air bag module. Remove redundant radio control connector from steering wheel retainer.
  2. Disconnect redundant radio control harness connector. Using a thin-bladed screwdriver, gently pry out steering wheel control at lower edge. Remove harness connector from steering wheel control.
