Lock Housing Assembly: Installation
- Lubricate the switch actuator pivot pin. Install the switch actuator pivot pin to the wiper/washer dimmer switch assembly. Install wiper/washer switch assembly to the lock housing cover assembly. Lubricate dimmer switch rod actuator (3). Install dimmer switch rod actuator (3) to lock housing cover and sleeve assembly (1). Align lock housing cover and sleeve assembly (1) to steering column.
- Install the 3 pan head screws at 12 o'clock, 8 o'clock, and 3 o'clock. Tighten screws to 9 N.m (80 lb in). Mount cruise control connector on the base plate. Install column housing cover end cap. Install steering column lock cylinder. See LOCK CYLINDER
under Removal & Installation. Enable air bag system. See appropriate AIR BAG RESTRAINT SYSTEMS article. Remove steering wheel.
