Removal & Installation

Disconnect negative battery cable. Remove center console. Disconnect transmission range switch harness connector. Remove switch. To adjust, snug switch bolts and place shift lever in Neutral. Align transmission range switch to adjustment hole. DO NOT rotate transmission range switch. Transmission range switch is pinned in neutral position from factory. If pin is missing or broken, insert a .094" (2.34 mm) gauge pin into service adjustment hole. Slide switch until gauge pin drops to .59" (15 mm) in depth. Tighten bolts to 19 INCH lbs. (2.2 N.m). Remove gauge pin, and verify proper operation of transmission range switch. To complete installation, reverse removal procedure.
