Removal (Without Electronic Traction Control)

  1. Rotate throttle lever rearward. Push down on cable end fitting to remove cable from throttle lever pin. Using a flat bladed tool, push in the cable retainer at the throttle body bracket. Slide cable off throttle body bracket. Remove cruise control cable from under the accelerator/cruise control cable servo bracket. Remove the cruise control cable clip from the brake booster.
  2. Raise and support vehicle. Remove left front bumper fascia lower deflector. Remove the cruise control cable rosebud clip from the brake pipe clip. Remove the cruise control module shield 2 bolts and one nut. Remove cruise control module shield.
  3. Remove cruise control module cover. Remove the cable locking retainer from the module. Compress conduit tangs and pull cable out of cruise control module. Disconnect cable bead from cruise motor band end fitting on cruise control module. Remove the cruise control cable from the vehicle.
