Diagnostic Aids

Inspect Powertrain Control Module (PCM) harness connector for corroded or pushed out terminals. Inspect wiring for damage. Using scan tool, observe cruise status display while wiggling connectors or wiring harnesses. If DTC P1554 cannot be duplicated, information in failure records data can be useful in determining how many ignition cycles have passed since DTC was last set.
