DTC P0704: Cruise Control Clutch Switch Malfunction: Description

Cruise control clutch switch is normally closed. Powertrain Control Module (PCM) receives an ignition voltage on cruise control clutch switch circuit, when cruise control clutch switch is closed. PCM receives zero voltage on circuit when cruise control clutch switch is open. A DTC will set when vehicle speed goes from 24 MPH or more then back to zero MPH for 2 seconds, without PCM detecting a clutch transition. This occurs 7 times before criteria notes a fault.
