Inflator Solenoid Replacement (VIN X W/O C34)
Removal Procedure1. Remove the ELC/TRAILER fuse.
2. Remove the inflator air valve opening cover by pulling the lever inboard.
3. Remove the inflator control panel.
4. Remove the inflator solenoid electrical connector.
5. Remove the air lines from the inflator solenoid.
6. Remove the inflator solenoid fill valve cap.
7. Remove the inflator solenoid fill valve nut.
8. Remove the inflator solenoid nut.
9. Remove the inflator solenoid.
10. Remove the inflator solenoid fill valve washer.
Installation Procedure
1. Install the inflator solenoid washer over the fill valve.
2. Install the inflator solenoid.
Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.
3. Install the inflator solenoid nut.
^ Tighten the inflator solenoid nut to 3 Nm (27 inch lbs.).
4. Install the inflator solenoid fill valve nut.
^ Tighten the inflator solenoid fill valve nut to 3 Nm (27 inch lbs.).
5. Install the inflator solenoid fill valve cap.
6. Install the air lines to the inflator solenoid.
7. Install the inflator solenoid electrical connector.
8. Install the inflator control panel.
9. Install the inflator air valve opening cover by pushing the lever outboard.
10. Install the ELC/TRAILER fuse.
