Park Brake Cable Mounting Bracket Replacement

Removal Procedure

^ Tools Required
- J 37043 Park Brake Cable Release Tool





1. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Vehicle Lifting.
2. Loosen the park brake cable equalizer nut.





3. Remove the park brake cable from the actuator lever.
4. Use the J 37043 to remove the park brake cable from the park brake cable bracket.





5. Remove the park brake cable bracket bolts (10).
6. Remove the park brake cable bracket (9).

Installation Procedure





1. Install the park brake cable bracket (9).

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

2. Install the park brake cable bracket bolts (10).
^ Tighten the park brake cable bracket bolts to 10 Nm (89 inch lbs.).





3. Install the park brake cable to the park brake cable bracket.
4. Install the park brake cable to the actuator lever.
5. Adjust the park brake cable. Refer to Park Brake Cable Service/Adjustment.
6. Lower the vehicle.
