Rear Seat Recliner Replacement (AL4, AT5, AM9)

Removal Procedure

1. Remove the seat. Refer to Rear Seat Replacement (Rear Seat Replacement) .
2. Remove the recliner covers. Refer to Rear Seat Back Recliner Cover Replacement (Service and Repair) .




3. Remove the seat back cover retainer at the bottom edge of the rear seat back.




4. Remove the recliner bolts from the seat cushion.
5. Remove the seat back cover and pad away in order to expose the recliner bolts.




6. Remove the recliner bolts from the seat back.
7. Remove the recliner from the seat.



Installation Procedure





1. Install the recliner to the seat back.

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.

2. Install the recliner to the seat back bolts.

Tighten the recliner bolts to 32 N.m (24 lb ft).





3. Install the recliner to the seat cushion bolts.

Tighten the recliner bolts to 32 N.m (24 lb ft).





4. Install the seat back cover retainer at the bottom edge of the rear seat back cover.
5. Install the recliner covers. Refer to Rear Seat Back Recliner Cover Replacement (Service and Repair) .
6. Install the seat. Refer to Rear Seat Replacement (Rear Seat Replacement) .
