Seal Replacement - Hood Rear

Removal Procedure

1. Open and support the hood.




2. Remove the hood rear weatherstrip from the pinchweld flange.




3. Remove the hood rear outer seals from the fenders.
4. Clean the old adhesive with 3M(TM) P/N 8984 adhesive remover or equivalent in the area of the hood outer seals in order to ensure proper adhesion of adhesive.



Installation Procedure

1. Apply new adhesive GM P/N 12345096 if you are reusing the old hood rear weatherstrips.




2. Install the hood rear weatherstrip to the flange.




3. Install the hood rear outer seals to the fenders.
4. Press into place until fully seated to the fender.
5. Close the hood.
