Hood Secondary Latch Replacement

Removal Procedure

1. Open and support the hood.




2. Remove the secondary hood latch-to-hood bolts.




3. Remove the secondary hood latch linkage from the latch.
4. Remove the secondary hood latch from the hood.



Installation Procedure

1. Install the secondary hood latch.




2. Install the secondary hood latch linkage to the hood latch.





Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.

3. Install the secondary hood latch bolts.

Tighten the bolts to 25 N.m (18 lb ft).

4. Close the hood.
