Test J: Driver Information Center Trip Calculator Inoperative

  1. Perform Driver Information Display (DID) diagnostic system check. See DRIVER INFORMATION SYSTEMS DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM CHECK  under SELF-DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM. Go to next step.
  2. Ensure DID is in any mode except OFF. Observe DID display during bulb check. Turn ignition switch to ON position. If DID illuminates, check for intermittent condition or poor connection in wiring. If DID does not illuminate, go to next step.
  3. Replace DID. Calibrate DID compass. See COMPASS CALIBRATION  under ADJUSTMENTS. Go to next step.
  4. Turn ignition switch to OFF position. Restore any previously disconnected components or connectors. Turn ignition switch to ON position. Operate system to verify repair is complete. If fault remains, go to step  3 .
