DTC B0931: Compass Sensor Circuit Malfunction

  1. Turn ignition switch to ON position. Perform driver information system diagnostic system check. See DRIVER INFORMATION SYSTEMS DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM CHECK  under SELF-DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM. Go to next step.
  2. Inspect connection at Driver Information Display (DID) and related wiring for poor connections or open conditions. Repair wiring or connectors as necessary. If poor connection or open conditions are not present, go to next step.
  3. Replace DID. Calibrate DID compass. See COMPASS CALIBRATION  under ADJUSTMENTS. Go to next step.
  4. Using scan tool, clear DTCs. Operate vehicle, attempting to reset DTC. Perform driver information system diagnostic system check. See DRIVER INFORMATION SYSTEMS DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM CHECK  under SELF-DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM. If DTC does not reset, system is okay at this time.
