Test B: Charge Warning Indicator Malfunctioning

Ensure battery and charging system are okay. See GENERATORS & REGULATORS - MONTANA, SILHOUETTE & VENTURE article in STARTING & CHARGING SYSTEMS. Repair fault with charging system or battery before proceeding. If charge warning indicator is illuminated and vehicle battery and charging system are okay, replace instrument cluster. See INSTRUMENT CLUSTER  under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION. Contact an authorized A/C Delco service center for transfer of information from failed Instrument Panel Cluster (IPC) or affix appropriate label with necessary vehicle information on driver door pillar. Recheck system operation.
