Brake Pedal Height

Measure pedal height from top of brake pedal pad to carpet. Height should be 6.90-7.30" (175.0-185.0 mm). See Fig 1 . To adjust pedal height, remove vacuum brake booster from vehicle. See VACUUM BOOSTER  under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION. Measure distance between booster mounting surface (with gasket on) and center of clevis pin hole. See Fig 2 . Adjust push rod if not within specification. See BOOSTER PUSHROD LENGTH  table.
