Analog Instrument Panels - New Style: Operation: Gauges: Tachometer

Tachometer monitors engine RPM through Vehicle Control Module (VCM). Voltage pulses sent by ignition coil to VCM through ignition control module, increase in frequency with engine speed. These pulses are processed by solid state circuits that drive pointer of tachometer.
