Rear Brake Shoes
- Raise and support vehicle. Remove wheel and brake drum. Install drum-to-shoe Clearance Gauge (J-22364-01) so gauge measures inside diameter of brake drum. Remove and reverse gauge to measure brake shoe linings.
- Position gauge over brake shoe lining. Turn self-adjuster until primary and secondary brake shoes contact gauge. Linings should have a minimum thickness of .039" (1 mm). If minimum thickness not present, replace shoes. Reinstall brake drum and wheel. Lower vehicle. Check brake fluid. Road test vehicle for proper brake system operation.
