Removal (Without ABS)
- Raise and support vehicle, allowing suspension to hang freely. Remove wheel. Remove spindle cap. Unstake spindle nut. Remove and discard spindle nut. Remove washer.
- Tap on brake drum/hub assembly with a hammer to ease removal. Place drum/hub assembly on wood blocks. Using a punch and hammer, remove inner wheel bearing, bearing spacer, then outer wheel bearing from brake drum/hub assembly. Inspect bearings for wear, corrosion and contamination.
