Oil Pressure Indicator Does Not Illuminate
- Disconnect oil pressure switch connector. Connect fused jumper wire between oil pressure switch connector Yellow/Black wire terminal and ground. Turn ignition switch to ON position. If oil pressure indicator does not illuminate, go to next step. If oil pressure indicator illuminates, check for poor connection at oil pressure switch connector. If connection is okay, replace oil pressure switch.
- Turn ignition switch to OFF position. Disconnect fused jumper wire. Disconnect instrument cluster Gray 16-pin connector. Using an ohmmeter, check resistance of Yellow/Black wire between instrument cluster Gray 16-pin connector terminal No. 8 and oil pressure switch connector. If resistance is 5 ohms or more, repair open in Yellow/Black wire. If resistance is less than 5 ohms, check instrument cluster printed circuit for cracks or bad connections. Repair or replace instrument cluster printed circuit as necessary. If instrument cluster printed circuit is okay, replace oil pressure indicator bulb.
