Trouble Shooting

  1. Check IPC/BFC ACC fuse (10-amp) and IPC/HVAC BATT fuse (10-amp) located in left instrument panel junction block. If turn signal indicator(s) is inoperative, locate and repair problem in exterior lighting system. See EXTERIOR LIGHTS article.
  2. If instrument panel illumination lights are inoperative, locate and repair problem in interior lighting system. See ILLUMINATION/INTERIOR LIGHTS article. If SERVICE ENGINE SOON indicator is illuminated, diagnose and repair problem in powertrain control system. See appropriate SELF-DIAGNOSTICS article in ENGINE PERFORMANCE.
  3. Check for broken (or partially broken) wire inside of insulation which could cause system failure but pass a continuity/voltage check. Check for proper installation of aftermarket equipment. If problem exists, repair as necessary. If problem does not exist, perform self-diagnostics. See SELF-DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM  .
