Trim Covers, Shift Lever Seal - Assemble

Assembly Procedure
Tools Required
- J 41352 Modular Column Holding Fixture

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.





1. Install the upper shroud (2) and secure with the TORX head screw (1).
Tighten the screw to 1.5 Nm (13 inch lbs.).
2. If column shift, the shift lever seal must seat correctly in the shrouds.





3. Install the lower shroud (1) and secure by using 2 pan head tapping screws (2).
Tighten the screws to 3.5 Nm (31 inch lbs.).





4. Install the tilt lever into the shrouds.
5. Remove the steering column from J 41352.
