Fuel Tank Filler Pipe Housing Replacement (Impala)

Removal Procedure




1. Open the fuel filler door.
2. Remove the fuel filler cap.
3. Remove the bolts from the fuel filler pocket at the fuel filler neck.




4. Remove the bolts from the fuel filler pocket.
5. Remove the fuel filler pocket.

Installation Procedure




1. Install the fuel filler pocket to the fuel filler neck.
2. Press until the pocket is fully seated.

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.

3. Install the fuel filler neck bolts.

Tighten the fuel filler neck bolts to 5 Nm (44 lb in).




4. Install the fuel filler pocket bolts.

Tighten the fuel filler pocket bolts to 5 Nm (44 lb in).

5. Replace the fuel filler cap.
6. Close the fuel filler door.
