Instrument Panel Insulator Replacement (Right)

J 38778 Door Trim Pad Clip Remover

Removal Procedure




1. Use J 38778 in order to remove the push-in retainer from the right instrument panel (IP) insulator.
2. Release the insulator tabs from the lower IP trim pad retainers. Pull the part rearward in the tab openings. Lower the insulator.
3. Rotate the courtesy lamp counterclockwise in order to remove courtesy lamp from the insulator.
4. Remove the insulator.

Installation Procedure




1. Position the right IP insulator to the vehicle. Insert the retainer into the insulator.
2. Rotate the courtesy lamp clockwise in order to connect the courtesy lamp to the insulator.
3. Align and install the insulator with the push-in the retainer.
4. Lift upward on the insulator. Install the insulator tabs to the lower IP trim pad retainers.
