Installation (2000 Grand Prix, Lumina & Monte Carlo, & 2001 Lumina)

  1. To install, reverse removal procedure. Use NEW transfer tube assembly and lubricate "O" rings with clean brake fluid. Use NEW banjo bolt "O" rings, and lubricate with clean brake fluid. Before installing brake modulator gear cover, do following procedure: position ABS brake modulator upside-down, with gears facing you, and rotate each modulator gear clockwise until movement stops. This procedure will position pistons very close to top of modulator bore and simplify bleeding procedure.
  2. Tighten all fasteners to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS . Bleed brake system. See BLEEDING BRAKE SYSTEM . Adjust brakelight switch. See BRAKELIGHT SWITCH  under ADJUSTMENTS.
