Power Brake Booster: Removal
NOTE:
Power brake booster can be removed without disconnecting master cylinder brakelines. If both components are to be removed, remove master cylinder first.
- Remove battery and air box. Remove nuts securing master cylinder to booster. Without disconnecting hydraulic lines, remove master cylinder from booster and position aside.
- Disconnect vacuum hose from booster check valve. Under instrument panel, remove nuts securing booster to firewall. Without putting undue sideways pressure on push rod, tilt booster slightly to work push rod off of brake pedal. Remove booster.
