Preliminary Inspection
- Check all fuses. Ensure all connectors in system are mated correctly. Using a scan tool, check for engine performance-related Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTC). See appropriate SELF-DIAGNOSTICS article in ENGINE PERFORMANCE.
- Check for broken or partially broken wires. Check for correct installation of aftermarket electronic equipment. Ensure all grounds are clean and tight.
