Vacuum Brake Booster: Installation

- Install the vacuum booster assembly and the gasket. See Fig 1.
- Install the vacuum booster mounting nuts on the vacuum booster. Tighten the vacuum booster mounting nuts to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .
- Install the steering column support bracket. See appropriate STEERING COLUMN article in STEERING.
- Install the stoplight switch and the pushrod to the brake pedal pin.
- Install the pushrod retainer to the brake pedal pin. The retainer will snap into place.
- Install the left closeout/insulator panel.
- Install the check valve to the vacuum booster.
- Install the master cylinder. See MASTER CYLINDER .
