Removal & Installation

Before proceeding, see AIR BAG SAFETY PRECAUTIONS . Disable air bag system. See DISABLING & ACTIVATING AIR BAG SYSTEM .
Remove front and rear center console screws. Lift rear of center console. Remove Connector Position Assurance (CPA) clip from SDM connector. Remove SDM connector. Remove SDM nuts. Remove SDM.
To install, reverse removal procedure. Ensure arrow on SDM is facing front of vehicle. Tighten SDM nuts and center console screws to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS . Activate air bag system.
