Check Oil Indicator Illuminates Continuously With No Loss Of Serial Data

Using scan tool, monitor normal mode communication between Powertrain Control Module (PCM) and instrument cluster. If CHECK OIL T/T display is OFF, replace instrument cluster. See INSTRUMENT CLUSTER  under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION. Recheck system operation. If CHECK OIL T/T display is ON, locate and repair problem in PCM system. See appropriate SELF-DIAGNOSTICS article in ENGINE PERFORMANCE. Recheck system operation.
