Oil Pressure Gauge Always Reads High (V8)
- Disconnect oil pressure sensor connector. Connect a fused jumper wire between oil pressure sensor terminal "A" (Tan wire) and ground. Turn ignition switch to RUN position (engine off).
- If gauge indicates low oil pressure, check for poor connection at oil pressure sensor. If connection is okay, replace oil pressure sensor. If gauge indicates high oil pressure, check for poor connection or open in Tan wire between oil pressure sensor and instrument cluster. Repair as necessary. If circuit is okay, repair or replace instrument cluster. See INSTRUMENT CLUSTER under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION.
