Gauge Indicates Low When Pressure Is Okay

Disconnect oil pressure sending unit connector, located at left rear of engine. Turn ignition on. If gauge indicates high (80 percent or more), replace sending unit. If gauge indicates low, check Tan/White wire for short to ground between sending unit and instrument cluster. If wire is okay, replace oil pressure gauge.
