DTC 24
System Description
The Power Sliding Door (PSD) contains a microprocessor-based control module. The rear side door actuator control module monitors inputs from the power sliding door on/oft switch, the power sliding door open/close switch (overhead console), the power sliding door open/close switch (right B-pillar), the PARK position of the transaxle range switch, the ignition switch, and the keyless entry system's Remote Control Door Lock Receiver (RCDLR). The rear side door actuator control module also determines the position of the sliding door through the PSD detent switch, and the optical sensor. Based on these inputs, the rear side door actuator control module sends outputs to the cable motor, clutch, unlatch actuator, and the power sliding door alarm.
Conditions for Setting the DTC
- The rear side door actuator control module detects an internal malfunction.
- The vehicle has as incorrect rear side door actuator control module installed: This DTC sets when a 1997 GEN 1 rear side door actuator control module is installed on a 1998 vehicle.
Action Taken When the DTC Sets
The rear side door actuator control module sets DTC 24 in memory.
Conditions for Clearing the DTC
Replace the rear side door actuator control module.
Diagnostic Aids
Check the part number on the rear side door actuator control module and verify that the vehicle has the correct rear side door actuator control module installed. This DTC will set when a 1997 GEN 1 rear side door actuator control module is installed on a 1998 vehicle.
