WARNING:
Before servicing instrument panel or steering column components on vehicles with Supplemental Inflatable Restraint (SIR) system, disable air bag system. See DISABLING & ACTIVATING SUPPLEMENTAL RESTRAIN SYSTEM in AIR BAG RESTRAINT SYSTEM
article. DO NOT
apply electrical power to any component on instrument panel or steering column without deactivating air bag system. Air bag may deploy.
CAUTION:
When battery is disconnected, radio will go into anti-theft protection mode. Obtain radio anti-theft protection code from owner prior to servicing vehicle.
Standard instrument cluster includes Engine Coolant Temperature (ECT) gauge, fuel gauge, outer ambient temperature gauge (if equipped), speedometer, tachometer (if equipped), trip odometer, and indicator/warning lights.
Indicator/warning lights are used for ABS (if equipped), AIR BAG, BRAKE system, charging system, CHECK/Malfunction Indicator Light (MIL), cruise control, door ajar, fasten seat belts, high beam, low fuel, O/D OFF (if equipped), oil pressure, rear defogger, and turn signals. Indicator light bulbs are serviced from rear of instrument cluster.
