SEO VF Digital Display Inoperative

  1. Check fuse No. 4 (15-amp) located in fuse block. If fuse No. 4 is open, go to next step. If fuse No. 4 is okay, go to step 3).
  2. Repair short to ground in circuit No. 41 (Brown wire) between fuse block and digital speedometer module. Recheck system operation.
  3. Disconnect digital speedometer module connector. Turn ignition switch to RUN position. Connect a test light between digital speedometer module harness connector terminals "F" (Brown wire) and "A" (Black wire). See Figure . If test light illuminates, go to next step. If test light does not illuminate, go to step 5).
  4. Replace instrument cluster. See INSTRUMENT CLUSTER  under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION. Recheck system operation.
  5. Connect a test light between digital speedometer module harness connector terminals "F" (Brown wire) and ground. If test light illuminates, go to next step. If test light does not illuminate, go to step 7).
  6. Repair poor connection or open in circuit No. 1550 (Black wire) between digital speedometer module and ground. Recheck system operation.
  7. Repair poor connection or open in circuit No. 41 (Brown wire) between digital speedometer module and fuse block. Recheck system operation.
