Removal Procedure
WARNING: This page does not describe the selected car, but rather 31 other vehicles, including the 1999 Pontiac Montana, 1999 Oldsmobile Silhouette, 1999 Oldsmobile Bravada, 1999 GMC Yukon, and 1999 GMC Suburban. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
- Remove the air cleaner and the duct.
- Remove the vacuum hose from the vacuum check valve. Reposition the vacuum hose.
- Remove the throttle cables from the throttle body and the bracket.
- Remove the heater inlet pipe.
- Remove the fuel lines from the pipes and the vapor line.
- Remove the ABS hydraulic modulator/master cylinder.
- Remove the EGR tube.
- Remove exhaust crossover.
- Remove the transmission fluid filler tube.
- Remove the left side instrument panel insulator.
- Remove the knee bolster.
- Disable the SIR system. DISABLING SYSTEM (MONTANA, SILHOUETTE & VENTURE)

NOTE: When disconnecting the pushrod from the brake pedal, the brake pedal must be held stationary or damage to the brake switch may result.
- Remove the brake booster push rod (2) from the brake pedal (1).
- Remove the master cylinder/ABS modulator.
- Remove the brake booster mounting nuts.
- Remove the brake booster.
