Silhouette, Trans Sport & Venture

  1. Apply parking brake pedal 10 notches from fully released position, repeat 5 times. Turn ignition on and ensure BRAKE light is off. If light is on, and brake appears to be released, operate release lever and pull down on front parking brake cable to remove slack.
  2. Raise and support vehicle. Tighten parking brake cable adjusting nut until either rear wheel starts to drag. Back off adjusting nut one full turn. Apply parking brake pedal 4 notches from fully released position. Attempt to rotate wheels by hand.
  3. Wheels should not rotate forward, and drag or not rotate rearward. Release parking brake and ensure wheels rotate freely. Lower vehicle.
