Temperature Gauge Is Inaccurate
- Turn ignition switch to RUN position. Disconnect temperature sender harness connector. Using Tester (J-33431-B), connect Red tester lead to Dark Green wire terminal of temperature sender connector, and other lead to ground. Set dial to 1400 ohms. Slowly rotate dial to 50 ohms. If temperature gauge does not respond, go to next step. If gauge reads COLD at 1400 ohms, and HOT at 50 ohms, replace coolant temperature sender.
- Disconnect instrument cluster harness connector. Measure resistance between harness connector terminal No. 13 (Dark Green wire) and ground. If resistance is less than 5 ohms, replace instrument cluster. If resistance is more than 5 ohms, repair Dark Green wire.
