Oil Pressure Gauge Is Inaccurate
- Turn ignition switch to RUN position. Disconnect oil pressure sender harness connector . Using Tester (J-33431-B), connect Red tester lead to Tan wire terminal of oil pressure sender connector, and other lead to ground. Set dial to zero ohms. Slowly rotate dial to 90 ohms. If oil pressure gauge does not respond, go to next step. If gauge reads zero at zero ohms, and FULL at 90 ohms, replace oil pressure sender.
- Disconnect instrument cluster harness connector. Measure resistance between harness connector terminal No. 15 (Tan wire) and ground. If resistance is less than 5 ohms, replace instrument cluster. If resistance is more than 5 ohms, repair Tan wire.
