Oil Pressure Gauge Always Reads High
- Turn ignition switch to RUN position. Disconnect oil pressure sender harness connector. Connect fused jumper wire between ground and oil pressure sender connector Tan wire terminal. If oil pressure gauge moves to zero, replace oil pressure sender. If gauge remains at HIGH, go to next step.
- Disconnect jumper. Using fused jumper wire, backprobe instrument cluster harness connector terminal No. 15 (Tan wire) to ground. If oil pressure gauge remains at HIGH, check instrument cluster printed circuit. If printed circuit is okay, replace oil pressure gauge. If gauge moves to zero, repair open in Tan wire.
