Water In Fuel Indicator Always On (Diesel)

  1. Disconnect water in fuel sender harness connector. If indicator light goes out, replace water in fuel sender. If indicator remains on, go to next step.
  2. Disconnect instrument panel harness connector. Connect test light between instrument panel harness connector terminal No. 18 (Yellow/Black wire) and ground. If test light does not light, replace instrument cluster. If test light lights, repair short to ground in Yellow/Black wire.
