Removal & Installation

NOTE: Manufacturer does not recommend resurfacing rotors when replacing brake pads. Resurface rotors only when there is a brake pulsation complaint or scoring greater than .060" (1.5 mm).

Remove caliper and wire aside. See FRONT BRAKE CALIPER  . Mark rotor in relation to hub for installation reference. Remove rotor. To install, reverse removal procedure. Clean bearing flanges of any corrosion. Hand tighten wheel lug nuts evenly using a star pattern, then tighten using a torque wrench to about 1/2 of specified final torque using a star pattern. Fully tighten wheel lug nuts to final specification using star pattern. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS  table.
