A noise or vibration that is noticeable when the vehicle is in motion may not be cause by the transmission. A noise or vibration that is noticeable while the vehicle is in the P (Park) or the N (Neutral) position with the engine at idle, but is less noticeable as the RPM increases, may be the result of poor engine performance.
