Fuel Tank Pressure Release Valve: Service and Repair

Vent Valve:

REMOVAL PROCEDURE
1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
2. Perform the Fuel Pressure Release Procedure.
3. Drain the fuel tank.
4. Remove the fuel tank.
5. Disconnect the fuel tank vent valve hose (1) from the fuel sender pipe.
6. Remove the fuel tank vent valve (2) and hose (1).

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE
1. Connect the fuel tank vent valve hose (1) to the fuel sender pipe.
2. Install the fuel tank.
3. Install the fuel tank vent valve (2) to the rear brake hose bracket (3).
4. Refill the fuel tank.
5. Install the fuel filler cap.
6. Connect the negative battery cable.
7. Inspect for leaks.
A. Turn the ignition switch ON for 2 seconds.
B. Turn the ignition switch OFF for 10 seconds.
C. Turn the ignition switch ON.
D. Check for fuel leaks.
