Air Door Cable: Service and Repair

Temperature Control Cable To HVAC Control:




Temperature Control Cable To A/C Module:






Remove or Disconnect

1. Right instrument panel insulator.
2. Temperature control cable at A/C module (1).
^ Remove temperature control cable bolt.
3. Accessory trim plate.
^ Pull control cable trim plate rearward and off instrument panel lower trim pad.
4. HVAC control bolts.
5. HVAC control.
^ Pull control out far enough to reach temperature control cable connection.
6. Temperature control cable.
^ While releasing temperature control cable clips from control, pry temperature control cable with small screwdriver from control.

Install or Connect

1. Temperature control cable to control.
A. Slip temperature control cable into position over lever arm. Align shaft with temperature control cable slot.
B. Press temperature control cable clip into slot in control. Make sure all three clips are in place.
2. HVAC control.
3. HVAC control bolts.

Tighten
^ HVAC control bolts to 1.9 N.m (17 lb. in.).

4. Accessory trim plate.
^ Hold accessory trim plate in position and press it forward to engage four retaining clips.
5. Temperature control cable at heater module with temperature control cable bolt.

Tighten
^ Temperature control cable bolt to 1.9 N.m (17 lb. in.).

6. Right instrument panel insulator.
