Preliminary Diagnosis

The following major component groups are usually the cause of or are related to vibrations:
- Engine and/or engine mounts.
- Transmission.
- Tires, wheels, brake drums and/or brake rotors.
- Propeller shaft and/or universal joints.
- Before road testing a vehicle, check the following:
- Universal joints, wheel nuts and engine mount fasteners for the correct torque.
- Tires for correct air pressure.
- Condition of the tires.
