Rear Wheel Bearing Noise
A rough rear
wheel bearing produces a noise that continues with the vehicle coasting at low speed and the transmission range selector lever in "NEUTRAL." The bearing noise may diminish with gentle braking. With rear tires and wheels jacked up, spin the rear tires and wheels by hand while listening at the for evidence of rough (noisy) rear wheel bearing.
