Service Procedure

CAUTION: To avoid serious personal injury when applying any two part component paint system, follow the specific precautions provided by the paint manufacturer Failure to these precautions may cause lung irritation and allergic respiratory reaction.

1. Remove wheel(s) from the vehicle. Refer to "Wheel Removal". Tires may remain mounted on wheels.
2. Remove balance weights and mark their location on tire and record their weight for re-installation.
3. Wipe excess grease dirt from wheels with wax and grease remover.
4. Have wheels plastic media blasted to remove old paint or Clearcoat.

Important: The re-machining of aluminum wheels or the use of chemical strippers is not recommended. The re-clear coating of aluminum wheels alone, is no longer recommended due to concerns of repair durability.

5. Mask off wheels and tires.
6. Painting process:
^ Refer to and follow the individual formula and process, provided by the manufacturer of each specific paint system.
7. Unmask wheels and tires.
8. Install new coated balance weights, at locations marked on tires.
9. Clean all wheel mounting surfaces of any corrosion, overspray, or dirt.
10. Install wheels on vehicle. Refer to "Wheel Removal".
