Brake Warning Lamp

When the ignition switch is turned to "RUN," the "BRAKE" warning lamp will come on for approximately 3 seconds. If the parking brake is set, the lamp will remain on. The lamp may also be illuminated by information from the Electronic Brake Control Module (EBCM) or Electronic Brake/Traction Control Module (EBTCM).

Additionally, with the ignition switch turned to "RUN," "BULB TEST," or "START," the lamp may be activated by the brake combo valve.
